Lyrics
[Verse 1] (Gentle and steady) Jesus said He had to go To His Father’s throne above But He wanted us to know We’d be covered in His love He sent the Comforter to stay The Holy Spirit, God’s own breath To lead us in the light of day And save us from the dark of death [Chorus] (Uplifting and clear) The Holy Spirit is the power The Helper sent by Christ Strength for every single hour Because of His great sacrifice The Holy Spirit gives a gift To every daughter, every son To give the world a holy lift And make the Body joined as one [Verse 2] (Building slightly with light drums) He gives us Words of Wisdom deep And Words of Knowledge to the soul Faith to help us take the leap And Gifts of Healing make us whole Through Working Miracles He moves Through Prophecy His truth is known Discernment of Spirits clearly proves The light that comes from God alone [Bridge] (Softer, more intimate) The Gift of Tongues to pray and sing In a language heaven knows Interpretation then will bring The meaning that the Spirit shows He guides us in a holy way To do what’s pleasing in His sight He gives us everything today To win the spiritual fight [Chorus] (Full worshipful energy) The Holy Spirit is the power The Helper sent by Christ Strength for every single hour Because of His great sacrifice [Verse 3] (Quiet, prayerful tone) Now turn away from every sin And leave your heavy load behind Let the Savior, Jesus, in He is merciful and kind (Crescendo of praise) Accept Him as your Lord today The Christ who rose to set us free He is the life, the truth, the way Now and for eternity [Outro] (Back to solo acoustic guitar) In Jesus' name The Spirit falls He's calling you (Gentle fade) [End]
